Twisted Pine Farm Spring News

Welcome to spring, we hope!  Below is a quick summary of the news at Twisted Pine.

Alysha and Katie

Danielle and Splash

Stephanie and Buster

Kathryn and Duchess

Darin and Jordan

Samara and Stanley

Leah and Chase, Royal, Wes

Kathy and Tango

All of the riders were able to practice their dressage skills and the horses were able to see bright flowers and judges!  All riders did well and brought home ribbons.

We also attended a schooling show at Twinholm.  Splash, Stanley and Wes were able to have a jump around a new course and they all had a good day.

Congratulations to our riders who participated in the Fun Day at Twisted Pine.  Everyone enjoyed the day and we will have another one soon.

Upcoming Events

I have attached the 2008 Event schedule.  This is a tentative plan and although the event list is out, the schooling show dates are not all available yet.  Stay tuned for these dates.

Looks like a busy season, we have new riders planning to compete and some horses will be making there debut too!

Dressage Test Clinic

In conjugation with the London Dressage Association, we are running the Test Clinic again.  This clinic is on April 20 and will run from 9:00-3:00.  The clinic allows you to choose a test and ride the test in front of the judge.  The judge will provide you with some feedback and then you can ride the test again.  It is a great opportunity to gain some extra marks in the dressage ring.  If you are interested, a sign up sheet will be posted at the barn.

Kids and Horses Foundation

We are very pleased to be associated with the Kids and Horses Foundation.  This is a non profit organization that provides the opportunity for financially challenged students to take riding lessons.  This organization is operating in the Caledon area and Twisted Pine Farm is the representative stable for this area.  For more information about this great group, please visit www.kidsandhorses.ca

Camps!

We had a terrific March Break Camp and thanks to Alli, Samara, Alysha, Stephanie, Vincent and Cassandra for their help.  The campers really enjoyed themselves and I think the horses liked the grooming contest the best!

Dates are posted on our website for summer camp and we are looking forward to a great summer.  Registrations are available online at www.twistedpinefarm.com.

Enjoy spring and stay tuned for more updates!
