Riding School and Camps

Our riding school program has been designed to accommodate riders who are just beginning their exploration of horses and riding as well as those who have ad exposure to equestrian activities.

Our program includes new and more experienced riders of all ages. Children as young as 4 have started with our program as well as riders in their retirement years.

We offer not only experience with riding but also learning about the care of horses (horsemanship).  We believe that introduction to horsemanship has many benefits.  Riders are encouraged to learn about all aspects of hore care.  We host a variety of theory sessions with our team of equine professionals.

New riders are started on the lunge line. Once the rider feels comfortable with the control of the horse he or she is encouraged to ride independently. Our instructors customize a regime of stretching exercises to help riders progress with their riding skills. Riders are able to advance through our riding school in a systematic progression where they can then enter into our advanced level programs.

All of our riding school students can participate in horse shows. We attend a number of local shows and in past years have had many successes.

We strive to make the learning experience fun with an emphasis on enhancing riding skills and knowledge of horses.

Ladies’ and gentleman's groups are available during the day or evening for those who wish to experience the joy of horses in their leisure time. Our adult lesson program is quite popular. The benefit of exercise in a stress free environment is felt by all of our riders whether they are stay at home parents or busy executives.

Our school horses and ponies are a special group of equines.  They are our partners in teaching riding skills.  Each one possesses a particular skill set to enhance your riding experience.  Our school horses are all very experienced, steady mounts.  Many have been or are currently highly competitive show horses.  Safety and enjoyment are primary concerns at Twisted Pine Farm.

March Break Camps and Summer Camps are available for ages 8 and up. It is a full day experience.   The riders receive mounted lessons and horsemanship lessons with qualified and experienced instructors who focus on safety and positive learning.  Campers also enjoy horse related games, crafts and a fun day!  All levels are welcome to participate.
