Our Winter Schooling Sessions are Back!!

With another show season finished for the year, you might might asking what's next? We have a new and exciting winter show series to look forward to!
Our Snowy Weekend Sessions will be happening on Saturday and Sundays of Nov, Jan, Feb and March. This series will be a fun social event, featuring theme shows. They are open to all TP riders. Every event will have classes from beginner to advance. We want everyone to feel welcome to get their feet wet at a low key showing experience.

Dates and Themes;

  • November 27th - Schooling Jumper Courses
  • January 28th - Indoor Eventing Challenge
  • February 17th - Gamblers Choice
  • March 17th - Dressage Test Rides

Classes start at Lead Line Division, all the way up to 3'+ jumper.
Ask you coach for more information.

In the Month Of August...

Group Cross Country Lessons

We will be having two Friday evenings ‎this month dedicated to cross country lessons. Join in on Friday August 4th or 18th, or both! Sessions will be held at 6pm and 730pm with a max of 5 students per hour and a half session. Come out and school in the fun of a group enviornment. We will be moving jumps around and setting up some skill building combinations.
The cost per session is $60.00. These lessons are in addition to regular weekly lessons.

Dundas Valley Conservation Area Hack

We also have a day trip planned to the Dundas Conservation Area on Sunday August 13th. We are taking horses! As well, the Ancaster Ice Cream Shoppe will be delivering us some treats. If you are interested in joining us for a day of hacking through the beautiful conservation area sign up at the barn. Riders are welcome as well as family and friends on foot. Talk to your coach for more information.

The 2017 SOCTA Schedule has been released. This an exciting year ahead for Twisted Pine Farm. We will be hosting a back to back weekend of a Combined Test and Horse Trials on May 6th and 7th.

NEW for this year SOCTA will be hosting a CHAMPIONSHIP HORSE TRAILS. Twisted Pine Farm is the proud host of this event.

Selena is a long standing member of the Canadian Eventing team and has so far represented Canada at the Olympics, World Equestrian Games and Pan American Games.

As a life long equestrian and competitor Selena has developed the ability to bring varying types of horses through the Eventing levels successfully. Selena is also a gifted clinician and coach bringing her wealth of experience to every level she teaches. 

A strong supporter of her community Selena also donates her time to the Pony Club and Eventing Short Course associations in her home base community of Kingston Ontario Canada.

 

 

holly Jacks Clinic - Saturday December 17th

This clinic will be two fold. The first half to take place in the morning, will be a Course Walking and Design Education Session. The second half to take place in the afternoon will be riding lessons involving the course designed in the am session. This will be a fabulous education experience to learn how to walk show jumping courses, learn how to tracking distances and train your eye to learn courses easily. As well, students who part take in both am and pm sessions will put into practise what they learned in the am to ride the designed course under a clinic environment. All students are welcome to participate in am or both am and pm sessions.

Fee Structure; AM Session $40.00/participant , AM & PM Sessions $100.00 participant. Lunch will be provided.

John McPherson Lessons - friday December 9th

Johnis an FEI competitor, trainer, EC Level 3 coach, and Senior Status Dressage judge.  His quiet positive approach to training is great for all levels of riders looking to improve their dressage.  All levels of horses and riders will gain confidence and new exercises to take home and practice.John is a multi-year "listed" rider who has represented Canada internationally for more than 25 years, and has twice won the Bronze Medal at the CDI-W Dressage at Devon. He is one of an elite number of certified Level III Dressage Coaches in Canada and John’s students range from grassroots riders to Grand Prix competitors

Join our Twisted Pine community for some Holiday Cheer.

This year our theme is all about relaxing so feel free to wear your favorite pair of jammies or onesie! We will have a pancake bar with all the trimmings to complement our relaxed atmosphere.

This year we are also supporting the food bank, so bring a nonperishable food item to donate.

You are also welcome to bring your favorite potluck snack or appetizer to share with the crowd.

 We look forward to celebrating the season with all our friends and clients.

Events will take place Friday evening. A great way to wind down from the week.
